This blog is anonymous. Sadly, stigma surrounding mental health problems is alive and well in 2012 and retaining anonymity allows me the freedom I need to be honest and open about my experiences. I hope that at some point in the future I will feel able to contribute further to tackling stigma by ‘outing’ myself.

For now: I’m 30; a white, immigrant, bisexual, cis woman and I currently have mental health problems. In the past, I’ve been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, alcohol dependency, a borderline eating disorder and depression. The BPD label has been particularly unhelpful.
